Meetings
There are three great places to play go in the Pittsburgh area, The Pittsburgh Go Association, The Sewickley Go Club, and The Washington Go Club. You are encouraged to visit whichever club is most convenient for you or to visit all three. Also consider coming to a joint meeting.
The Pittsburgh Go Association (at CMU)
The Pittsburgh Go Association meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 at Carnegie Mellon University. Meetings usually last for a few hours, and people come and go as their schedules permit. Regular members include a good mix of people from CMU and outside of the school, and new players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to drop by a meeting.
We always meet somewhere in University Center. For the summer of 2009 through the spring of 2010, most of our Wednesday meetings will be in the Caffee Room on the second floor. If we have to move elsewhere for some reason, we'll leave a sign on the door saying where we went. Free parking is available in some of the CMU garages after 5:00. There is one such garage right of off Forbes Ave. that is pretty close to University Center. The map below marks most of our common meeting places.

The Sewickley Go Club
Sewickley is a quaint town on the Ohio River just 12 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The Sewickley Go Club meets at the Crazy Mocha Coffee shop in on Beaver St. in Sewickley. They have regular meetings on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00, and often get together for games early mornings as well. Please visit their web site for directions, playing times and members contact information.
The Washington Go Club
The Washington Go Club is run by Qi Guan, a relatively strong player (AGA 5 dan) and an excellent teacher. They meet on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 5:00 at Panera Bread, 107 Trinity Point Dr., Washington, PA. The Sewickley Go Club hosts a page with more information about the club.
